Sophia Ammann is a Belgian-based singer with Canadian roots. The past ten years, she’s been active as a front singer of bands Little Dots and Ansatz der Maschine. From a very young age, Leonard Cohen’s songs have given Sophia a sense of home. In her career as a singer and songwriter Cohen’s work has always been a great inspiration. Today she offers you her interpretation of some of her favorite Cohen songs as well as a premiere of her solo debut work.
Ammann has toured in Belgium and abroad, e.g. in the Netherlands, Nepal (2018), and in 2017 a small tour in Canada was well received with national airplay on the Canadian Radio (CBC). With her latest Leonard Cohen project, Sophia was happy to play in many sold out churches throughout Flanders from 2019-2021.
