BC Folk/Americana band called CALICO based out of Victoria & Vancouver. The band formed in March of 2020 at the start of the pandemic and the members of the band are seasoned professional musicians playing in bands like The Paperboys, Kutapira, Coco Jafro, Los Duendes, I'm The Living, Buckman Coe, Tonye Aganaba, Turunesh, Mazacote and the list goes on.
The themes of growth and transformation embedded in our music are directly linked to the experience during the pandemic. Amidst the isolation and chaos (Tony Cecchetti (lead vocals & rhythm guitar), Chris Couto (BG vocals & drum kit), Will Lloyd, (electric guitar) and JeanSe Le Doujet (BG vocals & bass) found ways to connect through writing music together while in the intimacy and confines of our own homes. From this, the collective CALICO was born.
The hope is that the nostalgic and deeply poetic dreamy music created by CALICO moves you.
