'it's about the music'
Our heart lies in the attentive audience experience and we are revered for creating and maintaining one of the finest intimate showcase venues in the Canadian music scene, not only locally / provincially / nationally but internationally as well for over 18 years. We do believe we have had and will continue to have a positive effect on live entertainment production standards for Canadian venues and we do trust that our endeavours are appreciated by our audiences and performers alike.

for those of you who either can't make it to the event cause of illness or family emergencies or you don't live in our immediate  area

we 'live' stream all of our concerts to youtube and facebook

https://www.youtube.com/c/DuncanShowroom/live

(if you are local and watching from home, sitting in the chair of your choice, wearing the clothes of your choice, drinking the beverage of your choice, possibly even inhaling the fresh air of your choice and all for 'free', why not donate the ticket price or parts thereof so we can continue this 'free' to you service)

one way to support the Showroom experience is to view and possibly buy a photo book of past performers

Jared Popma w/ Sarah Terlesky:

Jared Popma is a singer/songwriter and guitarist based out of Nanaimo where he studies music at Vancouver Island University. Joined by Sarah Terlesky on vocals, you will find they bring a unique blend of acoustic Jazz/Pop featuring original music from Jared’s most recent album “Validation,” as well as covers from artists such as Sammy Rae, Lawrence, and Jack Johnson. You will be sure to feel the chemistry between the duo in this intimate acoustic setting.

Spencer Hiemstra:

Life can be wild sometimes. We all experience it and Spencer Hiemstra sings about it. Spencer Hiemstra is a folk singer-songwriter and storyteller based on Vancouver Island. His lyrics take inspiration from the geography of the coast and his storytelling always finds a way to be encouraging. Spencer’s debut album, “WILDLIFE”, is about how wild our lives can be. After years of playing in rock bands (Maverick Cinema / Pacific Colours) his new music tells stories, shares experiences, and inspires hope and joy. His performance typically looks like a duo with Spencer playing acoustic guitar and singing while another musician plays captivating melodies on the electric guitar or violin. Spencer has performed in festivals such as Filberg Fest and Woodstove Festival. With his band, Maverick Cinema, he has performed in festivals such as Rifflandia, Laketown Rock, Laketown Shakedown and 5 Acre Shaker. He has also completed multiple tours reaching as far as Montreal and back. Spencer is working on a new album and has already released his first two singles “Kindness” and “Ordinary People”.
