'it's about the music'
Our heart lies in the attentive audience experience and we are revered for creating and maintaining one of the finest intimate showcase venues in the Canadian music scene, not only locally / provincially / nationally but internationally as well for over 18 years. We do believe we have had and will continue to have a positive effect on live entertainment production standards for Canadian venues and we do trust that our endeavours are appreciated by our audiences and performers alike.

for those of you who either can't make it to the event cause of illness or family emergencies or you don't live in our immediate  area

we 'live' stream all of our concerts to youtube and facebook

https://www.youtube.com/c/DuncanShowroom/live

(if you are local and watching from home, sitting in the chair of your choice, wearing the clothes of your choice, drinking the beverage of your choice, possibly even inhaling the fresh air of your choice and all for 'free', why not donate the ticket price or parts thereof so we can continue this 'free' to you service)

one way to support the Showroom experience is to view and possibly buy a photo book of past performers

Typsy Gypsy Jazz

The Duncan Showroom, 131 Station Street, Duncan BC

A musical journey through Django and Swing. Calling beautiful mid-East Vancouver Island home, the "Typsys" are happy to offer up a mélange of Acoustic Swing Jazz, specifically in the traditional Manouche-Gypsy format and style (from the late 1920's through the '30's-featuring many compositions by Jean Baptiste “Django” Reinhardt-as performed by his famous quintet, The Hot Club of France), but also in other varied popular swing style songs and instrumentals. Jazz Manouche groups generally consisted of a lead guitar, violin, two rhythm guitars and bass. This music can be both melancholy and passionate, often played with fire and panache. The Typsy Gypsys keep that tradition alive and are very excited to be able to share this exciting music genre with any kind of audience, including ones new to this experience as well as old school Django fans!

Allen Dobb - CD release

The Duncan Showroom, 131 Station Street, Duncan BC

Victoria based singer-songwriter Allen Dobb plays songs from his new album "Alone Together", which is being released worldwide on the same day as this show February 9!

The album is a skillfully crafted collection of ten folk and Americana-style songs inspired by different stories, landscapes, and characters Dobb has encountered working as a range management specialist in the BC Interior.

It was produced by brother and long-time collaborator Cameron Dobb, who will head up a talented band playing keyboards, lap steel and guitars, along with Scott White on upright bass, and Katrina Kadoski on acoustic guitar, banjo, and vocals.

Expect to hear some great new music and reinterpretations from Dobb's previous three solo albums Horses and Hills, Bottomland and Rosetown.
