    Our heart lies in the attentive audience experience and we are revered for creating and maintaining one of the finest intimate showcase venues in the Canadian music scene, not only locally / provincially / nationally but international as well for over 16 years. We do believe we have had and will continue to have a positive effect on live entertainment production standards for Canadian venues and we do trust that our endeavours are appreciated by our audiences and performers alike. 

 

we are entering back into the 'live audience' aspect

of the 'live streaming' of the now new normal music scene

we will have room for approx. 15 people per show

over our 16 years of being open as an all ages venue, yes, we have had our hand out to the community to aid us in staying open

it is the nature of the arts to be subsidized somehow, and our tax dollars do have an arts component allotted and we are not included in that allotment as a private business

but this is not your regular theatre

we believe in a venue for new material to be heard, original music to be performed, boundaries  to be pushed and all in a 'hip' fashion

at your service to aid you in finding your inner groove...cause now that dancing in the venue is prohibited, according to COVID 19 protocol, but you can tune at home into the broadcast and have your own bubble party....we just ask u donate some $$ to help keep it all alive.....suggested donation $10 or more each. ...we also have a speaker out front of the building for those that might 'dance in the streets'

tour postponed due to COVID - Finny McConnell - Solo Intimate Acoustic Concert

postponed till April 2021 Finny McConnell started up the Mahones 30 years ago in Kingston Ontario as a one of for a St Paddy's Day celebration the irish punk scene gave birth that day to this remarkable band and they are still producing / releasing new material

due to COVID19, a solo tour by Finny, songwriter for the band and front man, was the appropriate way to celebrate this milestone of 30 years of giving it up around the world

limited to 20 people in attendance $25 ticket

Join us for an evening of early jazz and American and European folk music!

Alexander and Dayna of The Salty Lemon Stringband met in New Orleans in colourful streets of raucous busking. They discovered mutual backgrounds in playing pre-war jazz and blues. Their combined influences create an ever-varying set of old time banjo and fiddle tunes, waltzes, fiddle rags and European folk tunes. Their performance reflects their honour of the old ways, with songs and tunes learned along their travels and instruments panning banjo, fiddle and accordion.

Matt Billon Presents Island Comedy

world traveled comedian Matt Billon hosts a monthly series of Saturdays to introduce you to 2-5 new acts per show that he has searched the island for

comedians that needs the breaks, that wants to rack up some stage time

the ones who are serious about being funny

of course we have to listen to Matt himself (has been the supporting act for Pauly Shore, Doug Stanhope, Harland Williams, Tommy Chong, Rob Schneider, Tom Green and has just finished his fourth successful tour with Canadian comedic comedy legend Mike McDonald. Matt signed on with Los Angeles agency Paradigm Talent after making waves at this year’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, where he placed second in the popular Homegrown Talent Competition. His spot-on performance led to five other successful Just for Laughs shows, including Comedy Night in Canada and the ‘best of’ showcase, Talk of the Fest. The latter was attended by a slew of TV industry executives, who were impressed by his laid-back, soft-spoken style. He credits bouncing around from town to town after his parents divorced in forming that style.)
